JOB DUTIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:

May be required to work at more than one institution. Provides program direction by acting for superior & by relieving superior of most difficult administrative duties; organizes, plans, develops & implements a comprehensive medical, mental health & recovery services quality assurance evaluation & monitoring program within the institution(s) to assure services delivered meet applicable standards &/or court orders (e.g., monitoring & evaluation of healthcare clinical activities, risk management including a critical review of major occurrences, utilization review, peer review, credentials monitoring, & clinical competence monitoring), analyzes & evaluates the data generated, & reports findings to institution staff & applicable office of correctional health care administrators; facilitates the planning & implementation of remedialaction as indicated; formulates & implements program policies & procedures; chairs the institutional medical, mental health & recovery services quality assurance committees.Assumes responsibility for the duties of the institution health care administrator &/or psych nurse supervisor during their absence; investigates & responds to inquiries about healthcare concerns raised by inmates, families, & other interested parties; plans, conducts, evaluates & reports healthcare quality assurance surveys (e.g., inmate/patient satisfaction surveys, staff satisfaction surveys, needs assessments & issues specific surveys identified by any aspect of the medical, mental health &/or recovery services quality assurance process); monitors healthcare services compliance with state & federal regulations, standards & court orders & reports findings to administrator & central office. Conducts staff training on quality assurance policies, procedures & issues; attends conferences, trainings & meetings as directed; must conduct themselves professionally, & in a law-abiding manner, at all times & in accordance with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction Standards of Employee Conduct; performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:
Requires current licensure as registered professional nurse in State of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Ohio Revised Code.
